Christine Mohan, Co-Founder

Christine has 25 years of experience in PR, product marketing and website operations for media, technology and lobbying firms in NYC, Boston and Washington D.C. She spent 12 years at The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal,working closely with the sales, business development and tech teams across print, online, video and mobile properties. Most recently she was co-founder of Civil, a blockchain news platform. She has spoken about blockchain and diversity in tech at conferences in London, Hamburg, Edinburgh, New York City, Chicago, Boston and D.C.

Christine founded Mohan Media in 2011 to provide PR, strategic positioning, product launch, and website redesign services for media firms and startups. She has witnessed firsthand the rise of emerging technologies and worked with companies from hardware (WANG Global) to software (Abuzz), to digital media (WSJ and The New York Times) to content management, search, social and adtech platforms (WordPress, JumpTime, Clickable, Mezzobit) to blockchain (Civil Media).

Gwen Waldron, Co-Founder

Gwen is a pioneer in brand and digital experiences for the entertainment, fashion, financial, health and non-profit industries. She was a deputy art director at Time Warner/People Magazine; creative technology director at Condé Nast and Disney; creative operations director at the non-profit think tank EMPAX Foundation; new media director at Computainment; chief strategist at Frog Design, and a Webby Awards judge since 2012. Her passion is helping startups and non-profits utilize new technology and branding techniques to meet their goals.

 
 

Ursula O'Knighttons

Ursula has worked in the media industry for more than 17 years. She began her career as a journalist at the Reuters news agency, the El País newspaper and Localia TV channel in Spain, and until recently did media outreach for El País, where she has covered Davos annual conference. Previously she has served as director of communications of Casa Sefarad, a cultural institution tied to the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. While there, she organized journalist encounters and co-produced a documentary with Sony Music Spain about Israeli and Palestinian youth in Israel. Ursula also co-directed TV programs for syndication under the aegis of Prisa Communication Group.

For the past five years Ursula has been immersed in the blockchain industry; she launched the first ‘Blockchain and journalism’ event in Madrid with the support of Hyperledger, BBVA bank and the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom. Most recently, Ursula managed partnerships in Latin American and Europe for the Civil Media Company, a blockchain news platform.
